The Thoroughbred Center Unveils New Outdoor Wedding Venue in Lexington, Kentucky Called The Paddock

The Thoroughbred Center Wedding Venue_0002On May 26, 2016 The Thoroughbred Center hosted a launch party unveiling it’s new outdoor wedding venue. The Paddock was the name given to the new space where you can have your ceremony and reception right in the heart of horse country. The backdrop for the ceremony is none other than the picturesque and famous Gainesway Farm. Exchange your vows in the midst of breathtaking scenery. The floral design for the arch was created by Doug Smith Design & Events. Directly behind the ceremony location is where you can place a tent to have an outdoor reception as well.  The clear tent pictured below is available from Purdon’s Rental & Sales. The paper flowers on the tables were created by Paper Heart Blooms. The indoor amenities that are included with The Paddock are dressing rooms, prep kitchen, bar and restrooms. The Thoroughbred Center Wedding Venue_0001The Thoroughbred Center Wedding Venue_0007First and foremost the Thoroughbred Center is a thoroughbred training center. They have 236 acres, 2 training tracks, a starting gate, a clocker’s stand and 32 barns with the ability to hold up to 1,188 horses. The Thoroughbred Center offers tours of the training center, allowing visitors to see racehorses  up close and personal. They also have two other reception spaces including the Horseman’s Lounge & Stableview Hall which are both indoor. Each space has its own signature personality allowing them to accommodate many clients with varying needs.

The Thoroughbred Center Wedding Venue_0006The Events Coordinator Amy Jackson started working for the Thoroughbred Center in 2006 and transitioned into her current title in 2008. What she loves most about her job is helping people create happy memories. The Thoroughbred Center is incredibly Do-It-Yourself friendly. They love helping brides figure out ways to save money or create a certain look. There is a lot of flexibility with their packages and they let the couples decide how much they want The Thoroughbred Center to do verses how much they want to do themselves.  Email or call Amy to setup a tour today!
